Internal leaks are something we deal with regularly on the Barista Express. The most
common signs are water appearing underneath the machine, behind the drip tray, or around
the grouphead area.
It often starts small — a damp patch on the worktop, or water you can’t quite trace back to a
source. Left unattended, it almost always gets worse.
If you notice any of these signs, we’d recommend not ignoring it. A small leak can cause
damage to other internal components over time, turning a straightforward repair into a more
complex one.
