This is one of the most common faults we see on the Barista Express that No Water Coming Out.
The machine powers on and the lights look normal. But when you press any button — one
cup, two cup, steam or hot water — nothing comes out. Maybe a drip or two, but not enough
to make a coffee. We recommend first performing a descale.
What most people don’t realise is that this fault can have several different causes, and the fix
depends entirely on which one it is. Issues may look identical from the outside but need
completely different repairs. It could be due to various components including the pump, triac
board, solenoid block, pipework, heater and worst (and expensive) being replacing the PCB.
